Chief Serenbe is an Italian neo-realist stop-motion road movie. Shot on location in Atlanta, with no script or storyboard, I wanted a loose narrative reflective of my experience living in an unfamiliar city and the freedom that comes from not being tied down to any one place.

I drove around with my camera, tripod, and character until I found an interesting location to shoot. This guerrilla style of filmmaking allowed for the film to grow in a way that was affected by the locations.

A rotoscoped home-movie portrait of my dog Josie, and a film about pet adoption.

Unlike most celebrity-endorsed public service announcements, I wanted to create a film that did not guilt viewers into pet adoption. Rather than emphasize negative imagery, I focused on the positive impacts of pet adoption and the influence that Josie and I have had on each other.

A glimpse into the life of a stray dog who was adopted from an animal shelter with a high rate of euthanasia in Atlanta. Once known only as #3632-5, now lovingly known as Josie.

Since 2013, LifeLine Animal Project has taken over many of Atlanta's shelters, helping Atlanta become a no-kill city.

The heroic story of Edward Pulaski saving 40 men during the great Idaho fire of 1910. One forester named Stahl described the fire as "truly a veritable red demon from hell." After the incident, Pulaski invented a more effective firefighting tool called the Pulaski Axe, still used today by Trail Crews and the US Forest Service.

An animated documentary about a dream I had in which a talking shark reveals itself to be my artistic muse, based on three defining moments in my life: near drowning experience as a child, fear of sharks, and a sense of displacement.
